Morrisania Band Project puts on a musical show for senior citizens at Kittay Senior Apartments

2ds agoThe residents at Kittay Senior Apartments in Kingsbridge Heights were treated to a show Tuesday courtesy of the Morrisania Band Project.
The group performed some classic hits for seniors and staff who couldn't help but dance the night away. The initiative started back in 2016 when the group of five was created. Elissa Carmona, the founder of the project, says that in addition to their typical performances, they really enjoy getting the chance to have days like this one.
The Morrisania Band Project is scheduled to perform outside of Yankee stadium before the team's home opener. They'll also be featured in the upcoming event Bronx Week in May.
