It's the season of giving back and giving thanks, and those at the Grace Baptist Church in Mount Vernon know how to do just that.

Grace Baptist has once again invited the community in for a nice warm Christmas meal.

The room was filled with laughter, yummy food and even better desserts.

Volunteers tell News 12 that this dinner allows them an opportunity to spread love and Christmas cheer.

"When you are touching people who are in need or hurting or correcting injustice, you are fulfilling your purpose. So, there's no better feeling in the world then to believe your purpose has come intersecting with human need," said Senior Pastor W. Franklyn Richardson.

The guests say they can always count on Grace Baptist for the holidays.
