Hanukkah has officially begun across the country.
The National Menorah in Washington D.C. was lit Thursday night to celebrate the holiday.
The Festival of Lights marks a miracle in Jewish history when a one-day supply of sacred oil lasted eight days until more could be prepared.
Celebrations this year are being forced to scale down due to the pandemic.
Hanukkah continues until sundown next Friday.
