A New Rochelle man arrested earlier this month in connection with the death of a teenager now faces additional felony charges, prosecutors announced.
Hugo Horacio Perez, 32, is accused of using WhatsApp to request sexual material from the 15-year-old in early February.
Perez now faces multiple felony counts, including two charges of use of a child in a sexual performance.
He and a 16-year-old, whose name has not been released, were previously charged with leaving the teen’s body outside on a sidewalk. The teenager was found without a shirt or shoes near Charles Street and Washington Avenue and was later pronounced dead at a hospital.
Authorities allege Perez and the 16-year-old moved Temaj from a nearby residence before abandoning him.
The cause of the boy's death remains under investigation.
