Police are searching for the suspects who shot a store clerk in Newburgh during an attempted robbery Thursday night.
The incident happened at around 9:30 p.m. when police say two men burst into Mystical 33 on Broadway and demanded cash.
According to investigators, the store clerk told the intruders to get out and tried to defend himself with a pair of pliers, but one of the would-be robbers shot him in the arm before fleeing the scene.
The clerk is expected to recover. So far, no arrests have been made.
