Officials say an off-duty Yonkers police officer was struck by a vehicle Thursday night.

It happened just after 9 p.m. in the area of Tuckahoe Road and E. Grassy Sprain Road.

Police say the off-duty officer is in stable condition and is being treated at a hospital.

Officials believe at this time, there is no criminal element involved in connection to the incident.

The operator of the vehicle remained on scene.
