A Yonkers man accused of threatening to kill police officers has been arrested.
The U.S. Attorney's Office says 32-year-old Ridon Kola made threats online against Yonkers police officers and Mayor Mike Spano in connection to the St. Patrick's Day Parade scheduled for Saturday.
The office says Kola made the threats while expressing his support for radical Islamic extremism and terrorist attacks.
The U.S. attorney also says Kola continued to assure police he'd carry out his threats after investigators questioned him.
Kola is charged with making threatening interstate communications, which could mean a maximum of five years in prison.
