Monkeypox vaccines have been delivered to Long Island.
A total of 8,000 were sent to New York, with 750 going to Suffolk County and 400 going to Nassau County.
The vaccines should be available next week.
Officials say 56,000 doses were sent across the country by the federal government.
Suffolk announced that someone in the county tested positive for the virus. That has been the only cases on Long Island out of the 128 currently confirmed cases across New York.
