An
overturned truck blocked a couple of southbound lanes about mid-span on the
Gov. Mario M. Cuomo Bridge this morning.
State police say it happened
around 1:30 a.m. Officials say there was a small diesel spill, which
prompted a call to the to the DEC for cleanup.
The truck has since been turned upright and cleared from the bridge. All lanes are reopen.
Roads have a slight blanket of
sticky snow right now, and there is a 45 mph speed restriction on the bridge in
both directions because of the slippery conditions.
It's not clear right now whether
road conditions caused the accident, or what the condition of the driver is.
