Police say a driver and passenger narrowly escaped danger as their car became stuck in the path of an oncoming train by Short Clove Road early Wednesday morning.Cops say the driver accidentally turned onto the tracks just before 3 a.m. Officials say the car?s wheel became caught on the tracks just as a train carrying hazardous chemicals approached.The woman driver and her male passenger were able to escape the lodged vehicle moments before the train and car collided.Officials say the car then burst into flames. Emergency crews say they were able to contain the fire and keep it from igniting the chemicals on the train.
