Governor George Pataki (R-NY) was transferred Tuesday from a Cortlandt Manor hospital to a facility in Manhattan.
The governor?s release from Hudson Valley Hospital Center had been postponed three times after he had surgery to remove his appendix. A spokesperson for Pataki says he was moved to New York Presbyterian Hospital under routine conditions and the medical staff at both hospitals agreed upon the transfer.
Pataki?s doctor says his intestines still are not functioning normally and he's being given water and nutrients intravenously. The governor's spokesman says New York Presbyterian is the most comprehensive facility available as Pataki's recovery continues.
