The FDNY says a person is fighting for their life at the hospital after an apartment building fire in Longwood Thursday.
Firefighters responded to 894 Rogers Place just before 11:30 a.m.
Crews battled flames on the fifth floor of the six-story building and put the fire under control in just over 45 minutes, according to fire officials.
EMS took the person to NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln, where they are currently listed in critical condition.
