Dutchess County has a new program to crack down on motorists who illegally pass school buses.
The Pine Plains Central School District is the first district to get moving on the new bus safety effort in the county.
The county has partnered with "Buspatrol," a company with a program that equips schools' fleets with stop-arm cameras and other technology at no cost to local taxpayers - because it will be paid for by violations.
Those who are caught blowing by a stopped bus could be hit with a fine of $250.
