State police: Motorcyclist killed in crash was being pursued by Middletown PD

State police say the City of Middletown Police Department was pursuing a 2003 Yamaha R1 motorcycle traveling eastbound at a high rate of speed on Dolson Avenue before 7:30 p.m.

Authorities say the motorcyclist who was killed in a crash with an SUV Saturday night in Middletown was involved in a police pursuit.
State police say the City of Middletown Police Department was pursuing a 2003 Yamaha R1 motorcycle traveling eastbound at a high rate of speed on Dolson Avenue before 7:30 p.m.
State police say the motorcyclist identified as 19-year-old Noe Dominguez, of New Hampton, struck a 2020 Chevrolet Equinox, that was making a left from Dolson Avenue westbound onto Route 6.
Dominguez was pronounced dead at the scene. Both vehicles were damaged, and airbags were deployed in the SUV.
The operator of the SUV was taken to Garnet Health Medical Center with injuries that were not life-threatening.
