Four suspects have been charged in connection with an arson and vandalism spree that took place over the weekend at the historic Tarrytown Lighthouse in Sleepy Hollow, police say.
Elvin Ayavaca, 18, of White Plains and Richard Barrero, 19, of Harrison were each charged with arson, burglary and criminal mischief.
Two 17-year-olds were also charged as juveniles. They are not being identified due to their ages.
Damage to the lighthouse was discovered Saturday by a Westchester County Parks employee. The worker discovered fire damage, broken windows and multiple antique items destroyed.
