The Village of Mamaroneck Police Department were notified about a missing child who left his residence at around 2:30 p.m.
Officers located the child in the Mamaroneck River near the Hillside Avenue Bridge.
The child was removed from the water by officers and pronounced dead at the scene by Mamaroneck EMS.
