Staying safe behind the wheel was the focus of a special lesson for high school students in Tuxedo Thursday.

Greenwood Lake police officer and paramedic Michael Chabut talked to juniors at George F. Baker High School about the dangers of driving. Chabut talked about the results of road rage, speeding and driving drunk.

The principal says four students rolled their vehicles in separate incidents while driving to school this school year. Fortunately, those students were not seriously hurt.

Three Port Jervis High School students were killed in a crash on Interstate 84 last June. Two teenagers died in February when they crashed on the way to Wallkill High School. Police and school leaders hope the class will encourage students to drive more carefully.
