Police say a man driving a pickup truck attempted to lure a 14-year-old girl as she walked home from her bus stop in Wesley Hills.

Police say the incident happened at around 6 p.m. Monday. The girl was walking home after being dropped off at her bus stop on Route 306. Police say she turned onto Kentor Lane and a white pickup truck drove up next to her. The driver motioned for her to come over, but the girl walked away quickly and the truck drove off.

This is the latest in a string of attempted lurings to hit the area in the past six months. Other attempts happened in Orangetown, South Nyack, Ramapo and Clarkstown.
