A Monticello man accused of firing an illegal handgun across a courtyard where children were playing has been arrested, according to police.
Authorities say Jahriek Tomlinson, 22, fired the weapon last month at the Monticello Housing Authority Complex on Evergreen Drive. No injuries were reported.
Tomlinson now faces charges for weapons and reckless endangerment.
