A newly released video shows a deadly, police-involved shooting.

The incident happened when police were called to 296 Terrace Ave. for a domestic violence complaint on Dec. 1.

A woman told police Jovan Washington tried to strangle her.

The body cam video picks up when police tried to arrest him.

The video shows an officer asking Washington if he wants to put his pants on. Washington then gets up and quickly turns around. 

Police say he reached under the mattress for a gun and fired a shot, hitting Officer Cody Bacon in the leg. 

That's when officer Alex Triscritti fired multiple shots, fatally striking Washington.  

Officials say Washington died at the hospital.
