Police released a sketch of a man who is suspected of robbing several businesses by saying he?s wired with explosives.
According to police, the suspect attempted to rob a Wendy?s fast-food restaurant in Mount Pleasant Monday night. Police say the man opened his coat to display what appeared to be explosives strapped to his chest. Police say the man does the same thing in each robbery. However, on Monday employees started to exit the restaurant and the suspect then left without taking any money.
Police say the suspect robbed four other businesses in the past 10 days, all having no surveillance cameras. Police say the man tries to disguise himself by placing Band-Aids on his face and hands. Anyone with information is asked to contact Mount Pleasant police at 914-769-1941.
