While police in Wallkill hunt for a suspect who allegedly stabbed an elderly woman last night, several nearby schools beefed up their security and went into lockout mode today.Investigators say a 73-year-old woman was stabbed in her 5th Avenue home. She suffered injuries to her neck and head, and is listed in critical but stable condition at Westchester Medical Center. Authorities say the suspect in the stabbing, 42-year-old Robert Seeley, of Circleville, N.Y., fled into woods in the Thompson Ridge area. He was last seen near County Route 48 and State Route 302 in Crawford.Pine Bush Central School District put its eight schools on lockout and beefed up security today. All visitors required identification and recess and gym periods were held indoors, school officials said.
Seely is described as a white male, approximately 5 feet 5 inches tall with salt-and-pepper hair, a pony tail and a goatee.
