A Poughkeepsie woman has pleaded guilty to attempted arson after prosecutors say she tried to set fire to an occupied apartment building.

Niya Edelman, 28, admitted to attempted arson in connection with an incident that happened in April, according to the Dutchess County District Attorney's Office.

The fire damaged the wall and entryway of the apartment building.
