Ramapo school bus drivers ticketed for erratic driving that injured children

According to officials, one driver attempted to pass another school bus during the incident, leading to both drivers receiving multiple citations.

Recent incidents involving school buses in Ramapo have raised concerns about student safety.

Ramapo police have reported that two Monsey school bus drivers were ticketed for crashes that resulted in injuries to two children. These crashes occurred in the same Monsey neighborhood in March and April.

According to officials, one driver attempted to pass another school bus during the incident, leading to both drivers receiving multiple citations.

Records indicate that the drivers were employed by Avoides Meshliem Inc. and United Talmudical Academy of Monsey. Following investigations, one of the drivers has been terminated from employment.

Overall, five children have been struck by vehicles in Ramapo over the past five months.
