The two-alarm fire began on the third floor of the four-story building shortly after 8:30 p.m. on Thursday.
Witnesses say first responders arrived to the scene within minutes.
The fire was put out in about 45 minutes. Crews remained on scene for about two hours.
The flames were mostly contained to the unit where they started, but neighboring apartments had serious smoke and water damage.
Police say that none of the residents were hurt, and only one firefighter suffered a minor injury.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
