Red Horse restaurant celebrated its arrival in White Plains with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
The restaurant is the creation of celebrity chef David Burke, who is considered a leading pioneer in modern American cuisine.
County and city leaders gathered to enjoy hors d'oeuvres, like Burke's famous clothesline bacon.
“Me and my generation like to go out to eat, and it's not just the food itself, but it's the social moment that we have,” said Westchester County Executive George Latimer.
White Plains Mayor Thomas Roach says it's the recognition city leaders have been working for and it will help bring people back downtown.
There are a lot of interesting features at the restaurant, including a Himalayan Salt Wall to highlight Burke's patented beef aging process.
Red Horse is taking reservations for Easter Sunday from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m.
