With rain still pummeling the region, residents who live along low-lying areas near the Saw Mill River are concerned about more flooding and damage.
Babbit Court in Elmsford was one of the neighborhoods hardest hit by the floods caused by Hurricane Irene. Residents say they're still making repairs to their homes and are worried that floodwaters will return.
Klunie Street in Yonkers is another neighborhood that's still recovering from the floods that Irene caused and now residents are hoping the Saw Mill River doesn't overflow into their streets again.
Greenbgurgh Town Supervisor Paul Feiner has proposed that the federal government buy out some of the homes on Babbit Court that continually flood. He says he will be meeting with a consultant on Tuesday to discuss options on how to fix the flooding problems along the Saw Mill River.
