The Rockland County District Attorney's office executed a search warrant at Hi-Tor Animal Shelter in Pomona Wednesday morning. 

Members of the DA and sheriff's offices arrived at the shelter at 8 a.m. and were seen going in and out of the shelter's office trailer.

Authorities tell News 12 it's related to an ongoing investigation but wouldn't release any additional information.

Rockland County sent News 12 a statement saying they and shelter management have shared a number of concerns about operations at Hi-Tor and they plan to cooperate with the district attorney in ensuring "concerns are effectively addressed."

News 12 reached out to the shelter for comment and are waiting to hear back.
