Rockland County man killed in two-vehicle crash on Warwick Turnpike in West Milford
The impact was severe enough that the driver had to be medevacked to the hospital.

A Rockland County man has died from injuries following a severe two-vehicle collision over the weekend in Passaic County.
The fatal crash occurred Sunday, May 31, at approximately 5:55 p.m. near the intersection of Warwick Turnpike and Lake Shore Drive in the Hewitt section of West Milford.
According to a joint statement from the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office and West Milford Police, the collision involved a Dodge Charger and a Nissan Pathfinder.
The impact was severe enough that the driver of the Dodge Charger, a man from Bardonia, New York, had to be medevacked from the scene via emergency helicopter. He was rushed to a hospital, where he died on Monday.
A loved one identified the victim as 30-year-old Anthony Navarro.
The driver of the Nissan Pathfinder, a 28-year-old man from Hewitt, was also injured in the wreck. He was transported to a local hospital for further medical evaluation.
Warwick Turnpike was shut down for several hours Sunday evening while emergency crews cleared the wreckage and investigators mapped the scene.
