As people are preparing for this weekend's storm, a valuable resource in our area wants you to know they will still be there through it all. Saint Vincent's Medical Center says it is also preparing for the storm.
The hospital says its emergency room will be fully staffed and extra linens, food, and water will be in place.
Of course there will be plows constantly clearing snow on the property to make sure people can get any emergency treated.
"We're taking proactive steps around preparedness, including snow clearing and snow removal plan and ensuring we have the appropriate supports in place formour colleagues to be safe getting to and from the hospital both during and after the storm to make sure that we can keep operations running smoothly," said Andrew Turczak, St. Vincent's Medical Center Senior V.P. of Operations.
There is also a Hartford Healthcare app you can download on your phone where you can reach a provider any time, day or night.
Other hospitals in the area are also getting prepared to make sure you are safe.
