Saturn dealerships across the nation, including several in the Hudson Valley, are awaiting their fate following General Motors' decision to eliminate the car brand.
The decision was announced after a deal to sell the Saturn brand to the Penske Automotive Group Inc. fell through. The prospective buyer cited its inability to find a manufacturer to make Saturn cars once GM stops producing models.
Tom Waurishuk, the general manager of Saturn of White Plains, says GM's decision to eliminate the brand will not hurt car owners, who will be able to get their cars serviced at GM dealerships. Waurishuk's dealership will remain open until October 2010.
