Saturn, the ring-bearer of our Solar System, will glow
brilliantly this week in the night sky now that it has reached opposition –
meaning Earth will be between the planet and the sun.
According to EarthSky, opposition is a yearly milestone and
the best time to observe the planet. It comes early Monday morning at 2 a.m.,
but don’t be too concerned with the exact time.
“At opposition, Saturn rises in the east around sunset,
climbs highest up for the night around midnight and sets in the west around
sunrise,” according to
EarthSky.

Saturn should be in good view in the evening sky for the
rest of the month and through the end of the year.
