This past week, Brian Nicholas beat out thousands of skaters from across the country and was named to the U.S. Hockey Under 17 Men's Select team.

This isn't his first honor either.

Back in May, Brian Nicholas was selected 8th overall in the U.S. Hockey Juniors draft by the Sioux City Musketeers.

Next month, the Scarsdale native will head to Switzerland to compete in a five-nation tournament.

"It's just an honor to wear the USA logo and it's been a dream of mine my whole life to represent this country, so now to be able to actually experience it and put on this shirt, it's a dream come true and a feeling I won't forget," Nicholas shared.
