Several members of the Rockland Paramedics are heading down south to meet Hurricane Rita head on.
The paramedics are loading up their gear and packing for a journey, which will take them right into the heart of Texas. Rockland Paramedic Chief Tim Egan just got back from New Orleans Sunday night but is heading south again. He says he wants to go back because it was a good mission and it is something we need to do.
Egan and five other Rockland Paramedics, who are still in New Orleans, used their training to help those who need it most. From Middletown, the paramedics will travel to Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. where they will meet up with 30 other ambulance crews and then move on to Knoxville, Tennessee.
