Many people visited Stew Leonard’s in Yonkers for last-minute Easter shopping.

According to Stew Leonard’s officials, popular items include ham, steak and eggs.

News 12 is told egg sales increase more than 50% ahead of Easter Sunday due to people cooking and decorating them for the holiday.

This Easter is also the first time the store has brought back their famous chocolate-covered strawberries.

With the pandemic still underway, the store is offering smaller portions than usual, to keep with the smaller gathering people are having.

Staff at the Yonkers location insist they are still focusing on the safety of everyone.

Vice President of Stew Leonard's Yonkers location, Cristian Cruz, says there’s a huge difference between last year and this year.

“We are so excited that we have some normalcy back now,” says Cruz. “We are able to make sure that our customers are still coming over to Stew Leonard’s and feel safe when they shop.”
