A Sleepy Hollow man faces a 27-count indictment in the January 2023 attempted murder of his former girlfriend.
Ruben Santiago was indicted on charges, including attempted murder, attempted assault and burglary.
Authorities accuse 39-year-old Santiago of forcing his way into his former girlfriend's home and then shooting her in front of her kids.
He is also accused of assaulting the victim last December and violating orders of protection.
Santiago is being held in Westchester County Jail.
