South Nyack dissolution referendum latest: 508 in favor, 292 against

The polls in the village of South Nyack are officially closed, and the latest on results to dissolve the village are in.
The unofficial referendum vote results says 508 people voted in favor of dissolving the village and receiving public services from Orangetown, and 292 residents voted no.
The vote comes after a petition from residents who are frustrated over rising taxes.
There are about 1,800 residents in South Nyack.
