The southbound Saw Mill River Parkway was closed in Pleasantville this morning after a truck hit an overpass. It has since reopened.
Police say the truck was traveling illegally on the parkway and got wedged under the Manville Road Bridge just before 8:30 a.m.
County police closed the southbound lanes, forcing traffic off at Grant Street and causing extensive congestion on the parkway and in the village.
The truck was eventually removed, and police have reopened the southbound lanes.
