Tens of thousands of people took part in the Rockland County Saint Patrick's Day Parade Sunday, the state?s second largest parade for the holiday.
Onlookers were treated to entertainment from bagpipe bands to Irish school dancers and drum bands.
Many said it was an annual tradition for them dating back years.
"I?ve been part of the Saint Patrick's Day Parade since as long as I can remember,? says T.J. O?Leary. ?My mom and dad are off the boat from Ireland.?
Besides honoring the patron saint of Ireland, the parade also celebrates the contributions Irish-Americans have made to the community.
