Three NYCHA apartment complexes in the Bronx will be getting some upgrades thanks to capital funding secured by state Sen. Jeffrey Klein (D-34th District).
Klein says he made sure to secure $3.7 million in capital funds to make repairs at all three NYCHA complexes in his district. The Pelham Parkway, Sack Wern and Throgs Neck houses will all receive money so the buildings can be upgraded.
The Sack Wern Complex will be getting new appliances, and a new baseball field will be constructed at the Throgs Neck Houses. The Pelham Parkway Houses will be using its money to install safety lighting and improve viability for recently installed security cameras.
Klein expects work on the repairs to begin in about six months.
