It's been almost a year since a tragic accident at 2375 Southern Blvd., and residents say the elevator at the center of that incident is still out of service.
On April 14, 2008, residents say a man got pinned between the elevator doors and was dragged 17 stories. Since then, the residents have been forced to use just one elevator, since service on the other one was shut down. According to some tenants, the one functioning elevator constantly breaks down, skips floors and locks people inside.
The building's management says it won't be able to comment until after the holiday weekend.
