Rainy weather expected to impact viewing of Eta Aquarids meteor shower

- A coastal flood advisory is in effect from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. in The Bronx and Queens. Up to 1 ½ feet inundation above ground level expected in vulnerable areas near the waterfront. Minor flooding is expected.
- A coastal flood statement is in effect from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. for Brooklyn, Staten Island and Manhattan. Up to 1 ½ feet of inundation above ground level expected in vulnerable areas near the waterfront. Brief minor flooding is expected.
- It's chilly with steady rain this morning. Expect pockets of moderate to heavy rainfall. Temperatures are in the upper 40s to low 50s.
- Wind-driven rain and chilly temperatures continue through 8 p.m. Today’s highs will be in the low 50s.
- Friday will be cloudy with a cool breeze. A few stray showers expected during the afternoon/early evening.
- Memorial Day Weekend will be mainly dry, pleasant with temperatures in the mid-60s to low 70s.
