A 16-year-old high school student says two men tried to lure her into a van in Orangeburg.
The girl told police a blue minivan drove past her several times on Bataan Road.
The student says there were two Hispanic men inside the car. The passenger is described as heavyset, possibly in his late 40s, wearing a green polo shirt with short black hair and a moustache. He was reportedly cursing in Spanish and telling her to get in the van.
Instead, the Tappan Zee High School student ran to the Clover Leaf Inn for help.
Similar incidents happened last month. On Sept. 18, police say a 13-year-old boy in Blauvelt was followed by a man driving a gray Mitsubishi on his way home from soccer practice. A day later, Clarkstown police received two different reports of a man in a light-colored SUV following young boys.
Police are asking anyone with information about any of these incidents to call police at 845-359-3700.
