Counselors at Summer Trails Day Camp and all over the Hudson Valley needed to keep a close eye on kids who are outside today amid the extreme heat.

Experts recommend wearing light, loose clothing, staying near air conditioning, and drinking plenty of water.

"The key thing is for everybody, no matter what you're doing, whether you're at home, you're at work, you're outside working, you gotta hydrate,” said Director of Rockland Fire and Emergency Services Chris Kear.
