A health and wellness fair was held Wednesday at SUNY-Orange's Middletown Campus, where free health screenings were offered to attendees.
The event boasted 35 booths and allowed people to undergo tests for blood pressure and oral cancer, among other things.
Organizers said many people taking advantage of the services came because they had been skipping regular doctor appointments in an effort to save money or because of lost insurance.
SUNY's Health Services Department was glad the school could offer these services during these hard times.
