Evidence is surfacing that may shed light on the question of whether or not convicted hedge fund swindler Samuel Israel III committed suicide.

Some reports now indicate a second car can be seen on the bridge picking up the convict. Israel's car was found parked on the Bear Mountain Bridge Monday with the words "suicide is painless" scrawled into dust on the vehicle's hood.

On the day he disappeared, Israel was scheduled to begin serving a 20-year sentence for scamming investors out of $450 million. It was initially believed he jumped to his death from the bridge, but an extensive search for him or his body has not turned up any results.

The footage of Israel getting in a car is supposedly on a surveillance tape. The U.S. attorney's office will not comment on what the tape shows, however.

Investigators say if Israel is in fact alive, he should be considered armed and dangerous.
