A tentative settlement was reached Monday between striking van drivers and the companies that provide public transportation for thousands of disabled riders, a negotiator said.
The parties agreed not to publicly discuss specifics of the proposed settlement.
Members of the Para Transit Drivers and Mechanics of the Amalgamated Transit Union Local 1181-1061 will vote on the deal Wednesday in Queens.
The Access-A-Ride strike, which was entering its second week, left tens of thousands of New Yorkers with disabilities unable to keep medical appointments or leave their homes.
Both sides in the dispute met Monday at City Hall, where some officials complained that Mayor Michael Bloomberg's contingency plan to transport the disabled wasn't working.
AP wire reports contributed to this story.
