US Army Garrison West Point commander suspended amid investigation
A top commander at the U.S. Army Garrison at West Point has been suspended.
Col. Anthony Bianchi is a 1997 graduate at West Point, as well as a former player on the football team.
His numerous assignments since then have included deployment to Afghanistan and Iraq.
A statement from the U.S. Military Academy Public Affairs office says the academy doesn’t comment on ongoing investigations to protect the integrity of is outcome.
It goes on to say no further information will be released at this time.
