The Warwick community is mourning the loss of a sixth grade student.
Warwick Valley Central School District's Superintendent David Leach said Tuesday that student Justin Reale died on June 19.
The district wrote that Reale's parents told them that he had a great day on Saturday with his family, and he said before bed that he was excited about upcoming end-of-school-year events.
When his mother went to wake him up the next morning, he had died.
The district said there were trained professionals to help students and school personnel Tuesday and that Warwick Valley Middle School counselors and psychologists would be available for any student.
Reale's teachers said that he was always kind to his classmates and always happy to be in school. His teacher, Mrs. DiGiantommaso shared, "He was the sweetest little boy."
