Washingtonville residents have begun to pick up the pieces after floodwaters ravaged their homes and businesses this week.
Michael Foresta, who lives in Brookside Trailer Park, says he lost everything in the floods caused by Hurricane Irene and Tropical Storm Lee.
Foresta was born with cerebral palsy and inherited his trailer home from his mother. He says he survives on Social Security and disability benefits, and doesn't have flood insurance or the money to fix his home.
Foresta is just one of many in the area who may be dealing with devastating property damage. Like Foresta, many say they're hoping the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) will be able to help them with repairs.
